[1.] Max Pen: Could you tell us a bit more about yourself so the readers know who you are?
Fiona: Hi Max, I was born in Germany in 1964 due to my Dad being in the army and we travelled abroad a lot until I reached the age of 12. Then my Dad left the army we settled in Scotland and I have live here ever since. I am now a proud mother of four children and three grandchildren.
[2.] Max Pen: When did you first start with reading or writing poetry? Do you remember the first poem you wrote? If so could you share the poem with us?
Fiona: I being reading since I was 7 or 8 and I wrote my first one when I was 10. Yes here is the first one I wrote: (It was for Father`s day.)

Hero Dad
You are my hero, Dad
You’re my secure foundation.
When I think of you, I’m filled with love
And fond appreciation.
You make me feel protected;
I’m sheltered by your care.
You’re always my true friend; and Dad,
When I need you, you’re always there.
You have a place of honor
Deep within my heart.
You’ve been my superhero, Dad,
Right from the very start.

[3.] Max Pen: When did you first start going on forums and when did you start your own forum? If you had to look back to your past, what is the most enjoyed memory you have related to owning a forum?

Fiona: I have been a member on forums for about 5 years and I loved it so much I decided to have one of mine own. Forums are a great way to meet new people you might never have met.

[4.] Max Pen: How many forums have you owned so far and which are the current forums you own? How did you come up with the name “Inspiration Forum”?
Fiona: That would be 2. The first one was Writers Club on Zetaboards but I was not happy with Zetaboards so I moved to MyBB and opened Inspiration Forum. The name came because you need inspiration to write.

[5.] Max Pen: What is your goal that you want to achieve with the Inspiration Forum? Who are you trying to attract to it the most?
Fiona: I want the forum to keep growing to be the best writer’s forum out there. We want to attract any one who loves to read or write as well as help new authors get their name out there.

[6.] Max Pen: Could you tell us what has been the hardest to achieve so far on the forum? (Activity, members, content, etc..)
Fiona: I think finding members is hard as not everyone is into reading or writing. Also finding authors who are willing to be interviewed by me is hard.

[7.] Max Pen: What are some of the things you thought never would be possible to accomplish online?
Fiona: Opening my own forum after being told I was too old to run a forum. I seem to have proved that quite wrong.

[8.] Max Pen: If you could change something of your past online or offline, what would you choose? And what would you alter if you could only pick 1 thing?
Fiona: For offline nothing. I am happy with my life as it is now. Online easy I wish I opened my forum a lot sooner.

[9.] Max Pen: When did you first start with interviewing book authors? Could you link us to the: (Next to the: “your personal favorite”, tell us why.)
biggest interview?
most interesting interview?
your personal favorite?
most recent interview?
Fiona: I did my first interview when I had writers club which was in Jan 2011. Biggest Interview was with Carol & Bob Bridgestock husband a wife team. Most interesting Interview has to be with Cathy Glass she writes true stories. I don’t have a favorite, I love them all.
The most recent interview was with Ellen McKinney and here is the link to it:

[10.] Max Pen: What gets you the motivation and dedication to continue with Inspiration Forum? Ever felt like giving up on it?
Fiona: Hearing a member has decided to write their first book. This has happened for 2 of my members who are now writing their first book and hope to get it published next year. Yes I have felt like given up when we were hacked but then I thought I am not letting the hackers win.

[11.] Max Pen: What are some of the usernames of your community that really helped to make Inspiration Form to the community it is today?
Fiona: First has to be all my staff they have being a great help as well as all my members there is not just one or two people that has made us what we are it are all people on the forum that make it a true community.

[12.] Max Pen: Why did you pick MyBB to run it, why not a other forum software?
Fiona: MyBB is so easy to use and you can do a lot with it.

[13.] Max Pen: Finally, what contests have you held so far? And who won them?
Fiona: We had a Halloween competition and ItsZippy won it. Here is the link to read it: Our Halloween Competition Winner
Then there was our Christmas Graphic one and Spellarella and CC won that. Here is the link to it: Christmas card winners

Plus our Christmas Poem competition and Robert won that one. To read it click here: Christmas Competition Winner for Writing

Right now voting is going on with our first competition this year and I will announce the winner on the 1st of July and this member will win a signed book by the author Matt Hilton which is called: No Going Back.
