The following is an interview with flamesaglory, owner of Skeptic Thinkers.

Hello, could you give us a short bio of yourself and tell us how you got your unique username?

Hello my name is Joe Trevon, I am 23 years old. I went into the marine corps directly after highschool. I decided I wanted to go into politics. After I finished my 4 years of active duty I retired to the reserves(which I am now). I am now in law school. I was a straight A student through highschool and am still keeping my grades up. I’m a very sociable person and I love to debate and argue with people. When I was training for the Marine Corps my nickname was FOG. Some buddies and I were watching a movie and one of the lines was something like “I’m NOT..Nathan…Nathan of Trenton” So I stood up and said “Hello I’m FOG…Flames…Flames of Glory” from then on I was nicknamed Flames.

Do you remember when you first became aware of forums/blogs, and can you tell us a bit about that?

I followed blogs since they first became popular. My first experience with forums was in 2008 when I joined a military forum that no longer exists. I found forums a good way to discuss with multiple people at the same time.

Could you tell us a bit about your first ever website?

My first ever website was a military webpage that eventually fell into the dirt. I still have the HTML for it. My first forum was a political forum that I started with a buddy of mine. I closed it down two years ago. Skeptic Thinkers is my first ever blog.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years I will be a lawyer and hope to get involved in politics. One day I hope to hold an important office in the US government. My main focus is corruption in every department of our government.

What made you decide to start Skeptic Thinkers?

Most skeptical thinking websites are focused against god and aliens. There really aren’t any all around good websites. The owners aren’t really aren’t that smart and their arguments are invalid. There aren’t any websites quite like skeptic Thinkers that inspire critical and well rounded thinking on all areas. They don’t look for corruption like I do. I thought it was an area I could help to fill.

Are you quite skeptical about a lot of things in life?

Yes I am very skeptical about anything that is big in our world. I am skeptical about anything that mainstream programs, companies, and governments feed us.

Have you got any particular favourite articles on your blog?

I haven’t had time to write anything spectacular as of yet. The short essay style article I wrote about the similarities of Ancient Rome and the United States is an interesting concept:

My futuristic Feudalism of Europe was an interesting thing to write:

And, for a fun question:

If you were invisible, what would be the first thing you do?

I would join the Navy Seals and be extremely useful for the United States special forces.
